I do love all Doctor Strange movies but I am a fan of his comics as well!
For those who ask ”is Doctor Strange in the comics ?” Yes he definitely is and has been in comics since the 1960’s.
I’m a big fan of his comic books.
Let me give a quick summary of who he is.
Doctor Strange’s real name is Stephen Vincent Strange and was a successful surgeon! A car crash damaged his hands and ended his carrier as a medical doctor. He became the sorcerer supreme after seeking a way to heal his hands.
Currently I’m focusing on doing a lot of fan art so I can learn and improve my drawing skills with Procreate, it’s an amazing drawing app.
One of the fan art that I’m working on is Alpha Flights Northstar.
I really liked Northstar in X-Factor but annoyed me immensely when I first read his stories in the early Alpha Flight issues, a bit arrogant.
Well I did not know about this and I found out the very last day that comic book artist Chris Samnee was making a drawing for every day of October – the central theme was Batman.
This is the 4th time he has done this and the prompts he used for each art piece has been suggested by Samnee’s fans on his Instagram account
Believe me its not easy to do this every day and be creative and punctual, I’ve tried it by participating in Jakes Parker’s inktober event and could not keep up.
I think who ever can accomplish this by producing for every day an image with such a good result must have a great set of skills and talent which Chris Samnee has proven he has time and time again with all the comics he has done.

I do believe though that events like this are a unique opportunity for us aspiring comic book artists.
We can study and learn from them on how to be creative and sketch something by using one word and also to develop our drawing and inking skills.
And yes it’s worth trying something like this, it’s self training and fun!

Every weekend on a Saturday he posts on Instagram and Facebook fan art of some of our favourite comic book characters
He started with Nada Overdrive
He continued with Asterix.
Than he went onto Popeye.
And the previous weekend he did a character from Lucky Lucke
I’m a big fan of Tasmar’s comics and l do like his style, I’m just waiting to see what comes next so I can choose a fan favourite fan art
