A Magic World

Thessaloniki is one of my favourite places to visit and I was so happy when I got the chance to visit Triantafyllos Venetis magic world.

Triantafylllos runs a regular kiosk in Thessaloniki, what is special about it is that you can find their plenty of old and new comic books

The kiosk has become a regular hanging out place for many comic book fans, Trantafyllos himself being a huge comic book fan makes it a lot easier for us to visit and chat for as long as we like.

I was a pleasure to meet friends and make new ones when I visited, I also found several of my favourite comics!

Definitely, I will visit again the Magic Word!

Yes, my love for comics is HUGE.

I grew up reading them and each and every time I read one I gained something from it.

Inspiration, influence and expansion to my imagination which I wanted to express in a creative way.

Knowledge of different places in the world and understanding how people and societies worked.

Above all it was entertaining and a way to escape to another place…to another reality.

For all that, I will always love comics and I will always support it as much as I can.

A comic book draft

Ok I’m uploading something that few people have seen. From’97 to ’99 I was trying to make a comic book. I knew someone from that time that we were both trying together to make our own comic. He liked to write and I liked to draw and he wanted to do something on a professional level and I clearly wanted to do a small press, self published comic. I was not that confident with my drawing skills to make a comic and seek a publisher I wanted to start small and develop my skills along the way.
